Went to Cocoa beach as we always do when visiting Florida, love this place. This time was May 15th and after being on the beach we headed over to the Sandbar our favourite place. The Thunder power boats were in town for the race which is held every year and there 3 or 4 in the car park, the place was heaving but we managed to knab a table. It was buzzing, locals, people from out of town, tourists like us, and believe it or not my husband swears he spotted RICHARD RAWLINGS of Gas Monkey fame there. Great bar on the beach. Staff are super friendly and efficient. Food was great just love this place. Don’t be put off by the looks the service and atmosphere are off the charts.
Visited the restaurant twice while in the area for fish tacos. Food quality was average at best. On first visit the mahi tacos were so filled with liquid that they just disintegrated—the replacements were better. The second visit the food was average. The mahi Cesar salad was bad— the fish was way overcooked and dried out. On both nights service was very slow and not very hospitable.
I ordered their quesadilla with chicken. It was packed with lots of chicken besides were awesome, I ate it all! I would go back just for the quesadilla. The waitress seemed rushed. We asked for the wifi but never got it from her. I thought maybe she was new because she did not know the price of pop. Good atmosphere and enjoy dinner there. I would go back to eat there again.
Cool atmosphere! Good Margarita, food was okay. I had the blackened fish tacos had our waitress come back to check in I would have asked for a different entree. Because of the cool atmosphere we ended up sitting to the bar after dinner. The bartender was wonderful.

As a local I can say there are some places that just represent Cocoa Beach and this is one of them. Its a funky scrappy little place that is a refined dive. Every walk of life and level of economic status are hanging out enjoying incredible food and drinks in a super cool atmosphere with locals and visitors alike. Only drawback is space can be limited so if you are there when a table is open grab it. Cool bands, plenty of screens for games.
We were six people and everyone enjoyed the wonderful food and great service. We had all different foods and they were cooked perfect and very tasty. The waitress was super and we loved the decorations.
Pleasantly surprised. The place was busy service was good. We were there on Tuesday which was taco night. We ordered tacos, black beans, rice and plantains all were very good. We also had conch fritters as an appetizer and that was good also. Each night something different going on.
Just arrived for a weeklong visit and met up with our son and friends at the Sandbar. Great place to eat or just grab a cold beer! Some of the menu items are pricey, but damn its good.
